Just the addition of an intercooler will not cause much difference at all with fuel mileage. Basically, all you are doing is lowering the temperature of the air being forced into the engine as cooler air mixes with fuel better and is better combustible.

So, the intake air temperature sensors may adjust the fuel slightly, but it will not be enough that you will notice anything.

However, if you are going to add the intercooler then I would suggest tuning the engine which may require larger injectors. If you increase the size of the injectors, then you will notice a change in the fuel mileage.

So, if you are concerned in getting less fuel mileage then I would not look to add anything to the engine. The intercooler may get you a small amount of power but just the intercooler is not going to make the difference. The intercooler is just one piece of the puzzle so if you are going to make a difference then you will need to enter into the world of tuning the engine.

Let us know what questions you have.

Thanks
