Park Avenue, 165000 miles, 4dr, all power with HUD. New battery but car went dead for no apparent reason. Used jumper cables to start it. Gas gauge did a sudden spin after i turned the key to start the car and then it quit working. It hasn't worked since. Is it a fuse?

Did your fuel gauge needle flip all the way around? If so, get a good magnet. Place it close to the gauge and turn the magnet counter clockwise until the gauge needle is turned back around properly.
