109,000 miles 3800 engine
While driving the car, it just died. Started back and drove home with much difficulty(kept dying) Got home and noticed when I turned the switch to the on position that the fuel pump was not making a noise. I put in a new fuel pump and it is now buzzing when you go to the on position. The car still sputters and spits, but will not start. What else should I do? Bleed the fuel line, etc.
Thanks very much

Check your coil pack, pull the wires out 1 by 1 and check for rust, if all are good then check for spark at each wire, Pull the fuse for your fuel pump first! If spark is ok at all wires, check fuel pressure with a gauge!, last check engine compression, you may have jumped a tooth on the timing chain.
