Car was very low on fuel. It had a hard time starting, then ran for a few seconds, and died. We have replentished the fuel, Installed a new fuel filter in the frame rail. The filter was verry restricted and had never to my knowledge been changed.Checked all fuses and relays inside the hood, and under the dash. There was a few blown in the left side fuse box, when replaced the car still wont start. We are getting aprox 40-45 psi. in the fuel bleeder valve on the fuel rail. We have spark, and fuel, the car will fire when starting fluid is sprayed directly in the air tunnel. But does not continue to run. It's like the injectors are closed. Is there a reset button or switch somewhere, perhaps to keep the fuel pump from burning up, when trying to start with no fuel.

If you have 40-45 psi at the fuel rail, then there is nothing wrong from that point back to the pump.

The problem appears to be electrically related to the operational pulse from the computer not being sent to the injectors. There is also a fuse ( # 7 ) in the relay center that provides power to the injectors. Relay center is under the hood. If the injectors won't fire you will get no fuel.

Does the check engine light come on and what code does it present?
