When using air or heater, the compressor clutch clicks"off and on". Clicking noise will not go
away until heater or A/C is turned "off".
Good cold air from A/C and good heat from
heater. Added a can of refrigant in just to make
sure it was not low...but no change in clicking of
compressor. All controls are manual. Must turn
"off or on".
Do I have a bad switch somewhere?
Thanks....

Compressor should only be on in Defrost mode if on in heat mode then AC control unit maybe faulty. Find cycling switch on accumulator , big round silver canister. Unplug this will stop clutch engagement.Ckec to see if voltage is present when system is in heat mode. If so the control head faulty.
