I have replaced the thermostat, a bypass hose, put stop leak in system and topped off anti-freeze. The heat comes on intermitinley and the temp guage registers higher than normal.

Am I missing something obvious? There are no visible signs of leakage, and the oil looks pretty good.

Any help would be appriciated

Thanks

There is a air bleeding procedure for the cooling system on that car if you did not do this air could be trapped in the heater core there could be bigger problems I need more info on why you changed the thermostat

I replaced the T-stat because that seemed like a logical, cheap option. I am an armchair mechanic at best. How does one blled the air from the system?

Thanks for your help
