The oil pressure monitor on the left side of my dash does not work.

It just hangs way to the left. I looked at the oil pan and noticed the connection seemed fine. Do not know what else to do.

Try replacing the oil pressure sender, it s connected by the oil filter and mounted into the block. Please let me know how it goes.

Thanks for replying.

I'm confused. What is an oil pressure sender? I got a manual book from the manufacturer and the closest thing to the oil filter is an "oil pressure relief valve."

Is that it?

The troubleshooting for no oil pressure says
1. Replace oil pressure switch (what the heck does that mean? The electrical connection to the oil pan? )

8. A stuck pressure regulator valve:
- check the valve for sticking in the bore (again what the heck does that mean?)
-- check the bore for scoring and burrs.

This has got me no where, I cant find this part anyways online. Nor anything about an oil pressure sender.

Again I'm stuck.

Yes the oil pressure sender or oil pressure switch is the part I would change first, it is usually the problem and only costs about $10.00. If this doesn't work let me know. It is located near the oil filter in the engine block not the oil pan. Usually a one wire connector.
