I have a 1995 Lesabre
The sticker underhood states OBD I certified, yet it has a OBD II connector. I try to hook up OBD II scanner but all I get is a link error message. My connector looks like this.

XXX456XX
9XX12XXX16

Note: X = No pins shown
How can I retrieve my codes?
Can anyone help me?

There isn't much I can do to help on this but do offer this. First check and make sure the fuse to the dlc is good. IF so, ans no one else adds anything, I would contact the scanner manufacturer.

The 94 (and I think 95 as well) LeSabres are pull-ahead OBD II vehicles. Basically they aren't OBD II, and you'll need a very good code scanner to get codes out of them. I use an Actron Super Autoscanner (CP9145) to read mine. It's expensive, but the cheapest tool I've found to do it. If you're lucky you might be able to find a local parts store that has one they use for free on customer cars.
