I RECENTLY HAD THIS CAR SERVICED FOR STOPPING ON ME, AND THE SERVICE MECHANICAN SAID IT WAS DUE TO A CRACK IN THE TERMINAL. SO I HAD IT REPLACED, NOW THE CAR DIED ON ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. BATTERY HAS 12 VOLTS. NOTHING WILL TURN ON OR EVEN LIGHT UP. AFTER IT SETS FOR LIKE A MIN THEN MY ALARM COMES ON BUT DOESNT GO OFF. COULD IT BE ANOTHER LOSE CONNECTION OR A BAD BATTERY. I HAVE A FEELING IT IS SOMETHING VERY EASY AND SIMPLE CAUSE I DO GET SOME ELECTRICITY BACK JUST TO MAKE THE DOOR CHIMES GO OFF AND MY ALARM LIGHT TO FLASH. CAN U GIVE ME ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE.

Hi:
Yes, have the battery tested. First remove it from the car and fully charge it. Then, take it to a parts store and have it load tested.

If it's good, It sounds like you may have a ground problem. Make sure the inside of the terminals are clean as well as the battery terminals. When you replace them, make sure they are tight. Next, check the ground wire where it attaches to the engine and the body. Make sure the connections are clean and tight.

Let me know if this helps.
