1997 Buick Lesabre torque converter clutch

Paul Brand who does an auto show here in Minnesoat said I ought to try seafoam in my tranny for a torque converter clutc problem, is torque converter something common with the lesbre? And what does this thing do?

Yes your car has a torque converter. All automatic transmission cars have one. It is what allows your engine to be spinning yet the car (wheels) to be stopped while you are in gear. Basically it is what makes an automatic transmission even possible since you can't release the engine from the transmission with the clutch in a stick shift car. If you are not experiancing any transmission troubles I wouldn't start adding things to it.
