We have a 1995 Buick Lesabre with a good engine. However, while driving the engine cuts off, all power shuts down. This happens even driving at higher speeds on the interstate. After a few minutes it will start up again.
We have taken the car to several different mechanics and dealers but no one can figure out what is happening.
Help if you can would be appreciated.

You need to change the harmonic balancer. This is common with this engine. The balancer moves in the rubber mount and the crankshaft sensor gets a faulty reading and shuts the engine down. It moves back again and will start up. Replace the balancer and crank sensor pickup and you should be good to go.
