Hi there,

pull the fuse and start checking for a dead short. You will have to disconnect the radio and clock as they may have suffered a short due to the initial fault, the problem that you have is that the loom can over heat to such a state that it can burn, or just melt and cause a real headache to re wire. I think you should let an auto electrician have a look before attempting any repairs your self.
