Electrical problem
2001 Buick Century 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 94000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My left turn signal is flashing very fast for the last week. The check engine light also came on. Now my right turn is flashing fast.
I had a new battery put in about 5-6 months ago when the"service engine soon" light came on. I went to the dealer who said nothing was wrong and charged me $108 to reset something.

sounds like you have some turn signal bulbs that are out. as for the SES light, you have a code in the PCM that needs to be address. do you know waht code they found the last time?

It was a code p1404 which all they did was recalibrate the pmc.
The lights on the turn signal are NOT out, they are working but they just started flashing fast! someone, not a mechanic, told me it could be the alternator?

is there four lights in the front. some of them had a smaller bulb also in the front and when tthey burned out the lights would go faster. or it could be a flasher. i have never seen a alternator cause that problem. as for the ses light , you will have to get is scanned and see what codes are in it now

I'll have to check for 4 lights, I didn't know that. My wife took my car to her p/t job. I'll have to check it at 9:30 tonight or in the am. Thanks
