My 1994 Century has a 3100 V6. What is the recommended method of replacing the two small coolant hoses that are run into the underside of the intake manifold near the throttle body? There's very limited access. Do I have to remove the manifold to gain the clearance? One of the old ones ruptured and I was able to cut the old ones off, but I can't force the new ones into place because the tubing is rigid and there's only 1.5" (maybe) clearance between the tubes where the hoses get inserted.

I'm attaching two pictures.

If you follow those small tubes around, you will find they have amounting tab, loosen it an dyou should be able to get a little more working room. Or try using WD-40 to lube the hose ends to help aid in sliding them on, with the new hose folded in half and both ends lined up at once

Thanks! I feel kind of stupid for not seeing this. There is a mounting nut underneath the tubes and what looks like release tabs in the bug end of the tube as it goes into the engine. I'll try it. It's tight but I'm sure I can get a wrench in there.

Depress both plastic tabs to release heater pipe from intake manifold connector.
