I keep getting DTC's P0342 and P0321?

I keep getting DTC's P0342 and P0321 even after replacing Crankshaft senor and Camshaft senor what would be cause this to happen? Is the computer or the Ignition Module?

Hello, the codes don't tell you what to replace, the code says there is a suspected problem in the general area. Did you test the sensor circuits, ref voltage--ground--signal?

If your saying the vehicle cranks good but won't start, have you checked for spark at the plugs and injector pulse with the engine cranking?

Hi Williy,

Well here are the code defs I have.

P0321 crankshaft position sensor circuit fault

p0342 camshaft position sensor circuit

or

P0321 Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Range/Performance.

P0342 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Low Input.

So I would also check the Input Speed Sensor Circuit.

Also did you clear the codes after replacing sensors?

The motor runs and is driveible but do I need to use mutimeter to test circuit and do I check at connector ref voitage if no voitage where is the problem at?

1994 buick century 3.1
Car starts right up and idols perfect. When you give it gas, it hesitates and misfires. Not sure if its not getting enough gas or possibly something is clogged somewhere. Need your help.

Alright, I signed up for this stuff Just for you man! I had a problem similar to this and I wanted to share my knowledge with you and anyone else who happens to have a problem like this.
If you have a Buick century or any car with these similar style v6, If you start the car and it runs and idles fine, there is no check engine light. When you give it gas and it sputters or just simply dies the first thing I would do is grab my multimeter and ohm test all of the fuel injectors. More than likely there will be one or more fuel injectors that have a low ohm value. The proper value for fuel injectors on these types of engines should be 12 ohms + or -.5 ohms. These Rochester type injectors work pretty decent but the coil inside tends to wear out before the actual injector itself does. I have seen people with this issue many times online I have just always been to busy to take the time and make a post about this problem. Once your fuel injectors reach a big enough gap in the ohm value from where it should be the module that sends the fuel injectors the pulse shuts off because if it didn't it would burn out. Improper ohm values causes resistance and resistance causes heat and heat for electronic components equals failure. I am hoping that this information will help at least one person. So to wrap it up. If you have a car with this style of engine and it starts up and runs, no check engine light and when you give it gas it stalls out check your ohm value in the fuel injectors replace whatever ones do not have a value of right around 12 ohms. I have a friend that I work with at mack trucks in tulsa has a 1994 buick century with a 3.1 that cranks but won't start. Has good fuel pressure, quality and injector pulse. Good spark and compression. Had codes p0341. P0342 & p0321 and they came back after clearing. I used to do automotive work and he has been working on diesels all his life so I would like to help him. I have verified the ckp, cmp and 24x signals with my vantage and don't see a problem. Also tried adding propane to intake.

If have good spark and good fuel pressure

Is there a way to tell on this engine if the cam and crank are in time without pulling the timing cover?

Not to my knowledge
most likely have to take the cover off
Also check exhaust system for restrictions
If you like I can try and look up the codes for you
