1991 Buick Century IAC mtr

After installing the I a c soleniod the car idles very high
[aprox 2100 rpm] the instuctions included with the part
stated to start the engine let run 1 minute then shut off
so the ecm can reset the soleniod I have done that several times and the idle is still high any sugestions?

You need a scanner to ensure IAC counts are correct ( 10 - 20). Connect scanner to ALDL test connector located under driver's side of dash. Start and run engine to normal operating temp. Observe the IAC counts. If counts are less than 10 or more than 20 then you need to adjust the idle stop screw
