1991 Buick Century dies and wont restart

Engine Performance problem
1991 Buick Century 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

coil packs and crank shaft sensor have both been replaced, but the car starts and runs fine until it seems to heat up then it dies and wont restart until it cools down

when the problem occurs, did you visually check for spark at the plugs? Also check fuel pressure. Are there any applicable trouble codes?

thanks for the response. ya we checked both of those. it has fuel pressure but no spark. is there a way to check for trouble codes without a scanner? what would you say the next step is?

You can check for codes. Turn the key to on, just till the dash lites come on, no further. Place a jumper wire between A & B terminals of data link connector. The mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes.

Possible issue with crank sensor or ignition module? I can't rule out a problem with wiring circuit, somewhere?
