Car overheats when AC is on. Steam comes through vents into passenger compartment. I was told that it is probably the heater core. Where is this located in this car? How do you replace it? Will this be okay if I don't use the AC? What will happen this winter when I need heat and defrost if I don't get it fixed?

The heater core is inside the ductwork below the glove compartment. You may be able to see how to remove panels to expose it. Two hoses attach to it from the engine through the firewall. You need to replace it now to prevent engine overheating.
