All three brake lights stay on (tail lights and brake light in rear window) stay on after power is off. I am removing positive battery cable when not in use.

How is the switch replaced? I have almost $10,000 in this car and cannot afford $88.00 per hour charged. I cannot afford another vehicle either.

Thank you

The brake light switch is located under the dash, where the brake pedal is. You will have to lay down on your back (very uncomfortable) and unplug it. Then, use either a wrench or a decent set of pliers to loosen the retaining nut. Then it should just come right out. When you install the new one, it will need adjusting. I am including Prodemand's adjustment instructions.

It is also possible that you simply need to adjust your current switch. Again, use the instructions below.
