I have a 2003 BMW X5 that the whole A/C climate control (automatic) goes out and the fuse number 48 (7.5 amps) keeps blowing. I have changed it 3 times already and it blew on me gain. What could be the problem? And what is the fix for it? Could it be the "final stage unit" or AKA "blower motor resistor" PN 64 11 6 923 204?
There are two fuses but only # 48 blows and the whole climate control panel is out, not working.

The heated spray nozzles are on that fuse, disconnect them and see if the fuse holds up. (Fuse 48 and 34) Put an ammeter inline in that circuit with the loads disconnected and see if there is a current draw.
