Hi need advise. Car been running fine until 3 weeks ago after a service. When the car is cold it starts 1st time, after 20 mins drive and then go back to the car it won't start just cranking, but with a few attemps it'll eventually start.. took it back to the mechanic he said it is the crank sensor (but no light on the dash) so changed it, but it is doing it. Please help.

Does the mechanic you went to have the proprietary BMW software for scanning the car? If not you will need to seek out the mechanic in your area that does. This could be anything from bad fuel to an intermittent relay and from here I cannot tell.
