Engine Cooling problem
2002 BMW X5 V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

My car has been loosing a small amount of coolant. BMW said they needed to replace a gasket which meant they needed to remove the intake manifold and also the waterpump. They also said I needed CV boots. The car has been maintained by BMW and has 49,000 original miles. They are charging me $3,400.00. Is that reasonable???
