2001 BMW X5 Stalling, engine wont run below 1500 RPM

After oil change and service light reset by mechanic vehicle was fine until power applied to ascend an incline.

Since that occurrence engine will not idle once it reaches operating temperature and transmission is engaged.

The engine will need to be diagnosed by someone who knows BMW's. I can offer many possibilities and it would make it easier if you had some clue to share such as what the check engine light is on for, what are the faults in the engine control system. Please try and have the car scanned for faults and repost with that data.
