My BMW service rep. told me I need to replace my oil separator, either now or for sure before colder weather arrives. I am taking a long trip very soon from Chicago to Santa Fe and back. Is it safe to drive the car long distances in warm weather? I read hundreds of BMW oil separator 'horror stories' in cold weather. What about the summer months?
