hi, i've got bmw x5 and the problem with the car is misfiring everynow and then. when this occurs the accelerator pedal gets stiff and is like something holding back when try to kickdown. sometimes the engine sound heavier than normal. can pls help. the engine check light was on but after diagnose it was switch off. i can tell the engine is not function well

Is the issue with the accelerator pedal that it actually feels stiff? Do you have carpet or trim in the way? There shouldn't be any issue with the gas pedal at all since that car is fly by wire, just two potentiometers reading in opposite directions for plausibility. Is the check engine light on?
