Recently, I test drove a 2004 BMW X3. After a 10 minute test drive, I got back to take one last look over the car. My fiance wanted to make sure to check under the hood. As he was looking under the hood, the hose running from the compressor to the condensor burst, causing the high-pressured freon to shoot into the air. Luckily his face wasn't near, only his hand. My question is was this a freak accident and a one time thing or is it the beginning of a serious problem? Does the hose just need to be replaced or was it the compressor that caused the hose to break. Keep in mind it is a BMW and it is only 5 years old. PLEASE HELP if you know my solution! Thanks! Sarah
