I need to know how to repair the electric fan on my vehicle 99 328i.

What repairs are needed for the fan? Is it not working or noisy? The fuse is good? If the fan isn't working then it could also be the final stage which is a device that controls fan speed. If you can repost with the last 7 characters of the vehicle identification number it will help me to know which parts to quote for, thank you. ♥
