My 1998 bmw 740 I will start just fine but it will not continue to stay running puts and dies out. Please help me dia. This!

It could be several issues, but I do not think you have the technology to figure them out by your response, better take it to your local mechanic and have him diagnose it and let me know the issues.

The most common cause for this issue is a vacuum leak. Check your intake boot, any and all rubber hoses, and any vacuum lines. Replace anything that's cracked or brittle.

A likely cause is a vacuum leak. The M-62 motor leaks at the rear plate of the intake manifold which is coincidentally the crank case vent, replacement of it and the front and rear profile gaskets too.
