1997 BMW 740 PO740: Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circui
Transmission problem
1997 BMW 740 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 151947 miles
Please advise what this malfunction is and how important. I've driven about 300 miles since "check engine" light has come on.
Would appreciate what is entailed and if I should go to a tranny specialist. Or is this an electrical problem and a BMW generalist would do?
Approximately what repair $ range should I expect as I don't want to be taken.

I cant say what the problem is but you could expect to pay a reasonable diagnostic charge from a BMW tech to find your issue. Let me know what is found.
