1995 BMW 740 MY 2 GEAR DO NOT WORK.,
Transmission problem

WHEN IM DRIVE MY CAR START WORK ON D BUT DO NOT JUMP TO 2 GEAR UNTILL IM PRESS DOWN THE STICK TO THE 4 GEAR AND RETURN TO D AGAIN. CAN YOU GUYS TELL ME WHATS THE PROBLEM. THANKS.

The issue will require scanning the Transmission control module as well as the rest of the systems. This will establish a baseline that we can work from.
