Ignition Coil Resistance & Secondary Voltage Check (535i, 735i & 735iL)
Measure primary coil resistance between Black wire terminal and Green wire terminal. Measure secondary coil resistance between coil tower and Green wire terminal. Connect engine analyzer to engine. Observe secondary coil pattern and voltage. Secondary voltage should be 6000-14,000 volts, with maximum deviation between cylinders not less than 3000 volts.
