The car has been great for years now suddenly as it gets warmer the car seems to idle rough especially in the cooler mornings

acceleration can be laggy at times
you really notice the problem at a stop light when the car is bucking around and vibrating, once I get on the gas to go the engine smooths out around 1000 rpm and it's good to go till the next light

what should I do to fix this?

I haven't tried anything yet

thanks in advance

The first thing to check is the PCV plate on the rear of the intake manifold(part #3) they have a tendency to fail and cause the issues you report.

Is the pcv plate repairable or will I need to buy a new one before digging into things?

Replacement is the path, repair is not an option. The T-30 Torx screws can be removed with the manifold in place, be careful when removing the screws, the heads can strip out very easily. I usually replace them with regular hex head bolts.
