1995 BMW 530i driveshaft removale?

i am removing the transmission and the only thing getting in my way is the driveshaft i cant get it apart
i cant seem to seperate the driveshaft from the transmission i took all the bolts out will not slide apart
do i have to take the driveshart aloose from the rearend?
