Brakes problem
1998 BMW 528 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have got two minor problems with my BMW 528i. - MANUAL CAR!!!

1. The handbrake doesnt seem to be working. When you park the car up on a hill or on a slope, pull the hand break up, the car keeps on rolling down. A mechanic has looked at the problem and he has cleaned the break discs, readjusted the hand break but the problem is still there. What could it be?

2. There is a squeaking noise at the rear of the car when driving. I have also pushed the rear up and down whilst the car is stationery and there is definitely an annoying sound. From my experience could this be a bush or some tired rust joint? What is the best solution for this problem?

The hand brake should be able to be adjusted up, lose the tech you have been going to if they dont know how to adjust the hand brake shoes. The squeak could be rear ball joints.
