Engine Mechanical problem
1987 BMW 528 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150k miles

Hello, my engine on this car won't go over 30 miles per hour. It will start, but then it will die. Even though there is much more wrong, this is the main part that is wrong. I need help because this is my future car if I fix it. So please, help. Thank you.

With what you have told me there is little for me to go by. What exactly do you need, I can't help you if I dont have more information. When was the last time a BMW mechanic worked on the car? What might be wrong could be a thousand things from poor fuel pressure to a faulty air flow meter or incorrect cam timing.

O sorry, ill try again
there are about a billion things wrong with it. Such as: door handles, hood prop up, and etc.
When I start the car, it starts, but then once I obtain the speed of 20-30 miles per hour. It fails
the last time it was checked was like 4 years ago, its been sitting in our front yard for about that long of time.
There is not much more I am capable of giving you.

If you can't answer this, can you at least give me the top 3 factors that is wrong with it?

Thanks.
. Nate

Basically the car needs to be inspected by someone that knows what they are doing. For me to rattle off 3 things that it could be is like asking "How long is a piece of string" without seeing the string. The 3 things I mentioned in my earlier post could factor in here. If you have an interest in getting this car running again, get the reason why it has been in your front yard for four years clear to me, go over the things that I mentioned and lets get on this repair.
