1994 BMW 525 Engine Size unknown Front Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles

I am working on a bmw 525I for a friend and i cant seem to figure out why it wont start. It cranks but wont fire. the fuel pump was checked and seems to be working and the filter is clean and flows fine. I sprayed carb cleaner into the butterfly valve while having another friend crank the engine and it fired for about 2 seconds, I stopped spraying and it died. Can you help me?

It sounds like the fuel pump relay has gone out, here is the location so you can swap it out to help fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes
