Last night, the reserve fuel lamp came on, I didn't stop to get gas as I live right behind the gas station, so I got up this am, and it wouldn't start. I put gas in it, enough for a qrtr tank, but it still won't start. Is their something that has to be done to prime it to start? Shouldn't it start right up?

It should start right up, yes. You may need to see if the fuel pump is actually pumping fuel. Sometimes they get stuck and thumping the top of the fuel tank gets em going, pull the rear seat bottom up, the pump lives in the right side of the tank. Crank it and thump the top of the pump, works for a few of em. Replacement is obviously a possibility.
