Engine problem
1994 BMW 325 V6 Wheel Drive Type unknown Manual 99000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My bmw had been sitting in the driveway for about a week. I went to start it; it tries to turn over but doesn't start. I have a quarter tank of gas. Any advise?

Thank you

the problem might be in the fuel pump and this may sound a little strange to you, want I want you to do is, remove the rear seat bottom(the part you sit on, not the seat back) by getting a grip on the front of the seat and pulling up(it is held in with a clip so you kind of have to force it, don't worry, it wont break) then on the right side there is a round access panel held on by four Phillips screws, remove this cover and under it is the top of the fuel pump assembly. Have an assistant crank the car over while you tap on this assembly(you may have to tap several times and with some gusto)with a rubber mallet or you can use your fist(carefully!) if the car starts, the fuel pump has reached the end of it's little life. repost and we will go through the replacement of the pump or another diagnostic procedure to find out what is going on
