Belt that goes around the alternator

My belt broke cause the bottom bolt came out my alternator. Now I need to put a new bolt in and a new belt on. What I need to know is what size is the bolt to put in? Where can I purchase said bolt at? What tools will I need to put the new belt on?

We don't have any o f that info as it is a bolt and nut go to a hardware store and measure it prior to going then get a metric bolt it may be a 10 or 12 mm
