Well gasket the leak caused radiator to crack. And waterpump leaks as well. I can change radiator and pump but gasket needs replacement first. Ive gotten estimates from between $250 labor (i have parts already) to $700 including parts.
i dont have that kinda cash so is this something I should attempt myself? (Timing cover gasket replacement) and does the harmonic balancer have to come off for me to replace gasket? What steps should I take to take timing cover off?

Your best bet would be going to a part store and buy you a Haynes repair manual for your type of vehicle. If it is not on stock they can order it for you. Some are about $29.00. The manual will give you step by step guide line for your repair down to how much torque to use on head bolts. It's very easy to follow and you'll save your labor money.
