I need to figure out a way to turn off this anti-theft system. I originally ran out of gas went and purchased a gallon of gas put into the gas attempted to turn on the vehicle, the vehicle turned on but wouldn't stay on indicating that the gas may of not cycled through, I attempted a few more times, then still the same results, but I ended up locking the system due to many attempts. I replaced the battery with the warranty I have with a brand-new battery and installed the battery. I've tried disabling the theft system in different ways. Are there any other recommendations or could you instruct me just to make sure I'm doing this right? I'm unsure if I need to reprogram the fob or if it would even help.

What does the vehicle do when you try to start it? The anti-theft alarm deactivates as soon as either a valid key is used or the unlock button on the fob is used. That is the alarm that triggers the horn. Then there is the SKIS system that looks at the transponder in the key and tells the system that the correct key is in the ignition. There is no way to bypass the system as it is integrated into the dash, the TIPM and the ECM. There are also no other methods than using the correct key to turn it on or off. I would start by checking every key you have to see if one works. If you only have one key, then have a locksmith test it to see if the fob is sending out a signal. If it is, then they may need to erase the keys and program them back in to get the system operational.
