Anti theft light/key reprogram

Had to change out ignition cylinder due to someone breaking off key in it. Put it all back together PATs system and all. Now I looked up online how to program my new key and it has step by step instructions involving the anti theft light but my anti theft light isn't working at all. Charged the battery just I make sure that wasn't the problem still nothing help me.

Hello,

If you changed out the ignition lock cylinder and keys the only way to get the keys programmed to the PATS system is to have it done at a locksmith or at the dealership. This is done intentionally to keep thieves from stealing cars. Please keep us informed as to the progress.
