It's like opening a can of worms, dinner is ready

as far as tractor trailers there are a number of names
like freighliner, mack, kenworth, just to mention a couple, heavy equipment are things like dulldozers, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, farm equipment would have names like john deer, case, and more.
bootdog would know a lot more, maybe we should start with one or two things and see how it goes from there. Heavy machinery is a lot diferent than automobiles.

Hey max, just to give you an idea, and as far as road tractors, some freightliners have cat motors while others have the mercedes/detroit diesel. International can have motors like international, cummins or cat. Sterlings and gmc kodiak both can have the 3126 cat motors, sterling having a bigger crankcase. Most of other heavy equipment such as backhoes like case, john deer or new holland can have cat motors also. It just depends. I hope this isn't gonna be to confusing. I figure that if anyone owning these types of heavy equipment can let us know what they have when asking a question. As far as air brakes the chassis system etc, that shouldn't be a problem. Here, a list of other equipment names.

Kenworth, volvo/white, sterling, (same as a ford), freightliner, international, peterbilt, mack, gmc.

Engine types to name a few, caterpillar: 3126, 3208, c12, c7, 3176.

International: 444e(same as a 7.3l), 466, 360.

Cummins: L10, 6b(5.9), 6c (8.3).

Anyway I hope this helps out max, let me know or send me a pm if you need more info.
