The Engine generates power, but something must use this power to propel a vehicle, this car be the transmission in a car, or the business end of an industrial machine, it's all done for a purpose and planned!

Because it would stall when you come to a stop!

why would the engine stall? would the car itself put to much force on the engine?it doesnt seem that an engine with so much horsepower would stall out when you came to a idle speed.

Sleeper....While we applaud your quest for knowledge...... this time could have been used much more wisely.
1- No trans.. stop the car, engine stops.....get it?
You ever driven a manual trans and tried to stop the car in 1st? didnt work too well Im sure. If the engine made enough power to keep running then the car wouldnt stop. Most people can figure these things out if they try instead of asking someone else. If you have any other questions, feel free to explore the#1 automotive site on the planet.
PS- If you verbally abuse anyone else, you will be banned from the site.

Have a great day
