My Ranger is giving me the following problem:
When braking prior to the last few feet before stopping, the pedal goes weak and mushy and the truck keeps moving 2-4 ft.
I had a major brake job 4 mos ago ($650), yesterday a new M/cylinder was installed ($500.00)
the brake booster is fine (mechanic checked it). We now have a new ABS module (big $$$).

Nothing worked. Help please
Thks

When the pedal goes mushy does it feel like it pops going down? Is it 4 or rear wheel ABS?

Are you sure they bleed the air from the system?

Got it back today,
The first garage was not able to diagnose the problem.
The second garage (dealer) replace the left front wheel hub.
Result = Sucess. Problem gone.
I was told they scanned it and it showed a faulty sensor. Can someone confirm the the whole hub asasy must be replaced or can you change the sensor only?

I was refunded all monies by the first garage for the Mastercylinder and not charged for the ABS unit.
Two expensive freebies.
