6.9. diesel wont start

i have a 6.9. diesel that ran fine till when it droped about 9 degrees and i forgot to plug it in and it didnt start i recently replaced the alternator and i had my batteries tested today and one was dead so i had it replaced but now it just turns over and over and over and it never starts i checked to see if it might have got air in the lines i pressed in on the slot on my fuel filter and cranked the engine over and it shot diesel out imidiatly so that was rulled out i think the fuel pump works fine so i dont really know what it could be and i have tried ether and starting fluid and still nothing..

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

what is the year and the mileage on the diesel?

its a 84 ford about 120,000 miles or so

Hey hey_wire,
An oldy but a goody! Some common problems w/ those 6.9's where glow plugs, glowplugs controller/relay. Does your "wait to start" light come on for 5-10 seconds and go off or does it flash or not come on at all?

i have a serperate button for my glowplugs and the light comes on when you hold them i replaced them about a year and a half ago they work fine im starting to think it is injecters any imput from anybody would be appreciated

i figured it out today i ran my truck out of fuel i went and got 5 gallon of diesel filled it up bled the lines and its runnen good today
