good day all... I am recently the proud owner of a 2002 grand marquis with a 4.6 liter engine...with a problem, I was told that the car sat for a month or two and now it turns over ok but does not start, I got a bit of gas and poured it down the (throttle body), car started ran a few then stopped..I checked the gas gauge and it said it was half full, I poured a gallon of gas into the tank and it went up to full?????, I then put a bit more in the (throttle body) it ran again for a few then stopped again....I was going to check the fuse for the fuel pump, but the car came with out a manual....I did pull the pump relay and swapped it out...still no luck, my thoughts, the fuse or the pump????
Any help would be appreciated

when you first turn the key to on not start, on within 5 sec see if you hear the pump in the gas tank, if you do try changing the filter. Then work on the big stuff. Sounds like the person you bought it from ain't totally honest! Let us know.
