I have a 2002 Forester (48000 miles) with an automatic transmission. About a year ago a pipe dropped off a truck in front of me and punched a hole in the transmission pan. I had the pan replace and the the system flushed but the transmission has been slipping more and more. Yesterday it stopped all together. What should it cost to repair and is it worth it?

What a mess. Transmissions can be expensive. I hate to give you an estimate on something I cannot investigate. I would take it in to a transmission specialist such as AAMCO and ask them to give you an estimate.
