My car is 2001 Tundra 8 cylinders and MIL is on. I pulled the code and found that the heater circuit of oxygen sensor after the CAT on passenger side is bad. The heater resistance check shown that it is open. I would like to know how this gonna effect the engine performance. Can I keep driving this car until the next smog check comes? Thank you so much!

It will lower your fuel mileage by running a rich engine and vastly increase your emissions. It's the old mechanics story pay me a little now or a lot later

Dear Min, Check with the dealer to see if the part is still covered under warranty. Most emmission controlled parts are covered up to 5 years or 60,000 miles. And some are covered to 80,000. There was also a recall on certain year tundras for the 02 sensor. Your vehicle may be covered. Good Luck! :D
