Sorry if dbl posted.

2000 Gr Caravan 118,000 miles. Trans solenoid replaced 20,000 miles ago.

While coasting from 40mph, my speedometer went out (later confirmed odometer down, too) and van would not go out of 1st gear (3500rpm to approx 30mph)

My web research is indicating that transmission speed output sensor is the problem

My Q's.(Please answer like I'm a 6th grader doing auto repairs)

a) is trans speed output sensor likely whats wrong?
b) where is it located on my car?
c) can you give me repair instructions a 6th grader can do?

It was the trans output speed sensor. Here's how I did it

Remove battery (hook battery to charger cuz it's cold outside)
Remove battery tray (3 bolts)
Remove air intake black thingie (loosen 2 hose clamps)
Output sensor is on trans, it's the sensor on the right (left sensor is input sensor)
Unplug sensor
Take out old sensor (1" wrench required)
Insert new sensor
Plug sensor back in
Put battery tray back in
Put black air intake back on
Put battery back in
Drive, see speedo working, praise God, & light cigar
Also, I did it in zero swears
